Fees & Insurance

This is a self-pay practice. Details on payment, out-of-network reimbursement, and your rights under the No Surprises Act are below.

Self-Pay Practice

Joy Psychiatry, PLLC is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance or participate in insurance networks. This allows for more flexible, personalized care and greater privacy, since no diagnosis or treatment information is shared with insurance companies.

The practice does not accept Medicare.

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If your insurance plan offers out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Upon request, we provide a superbill, an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider beforehand regarding your out-of-network benefits and deductible.

No Surprises Act / Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, patients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before receiving care. Joy Psychiatry, PLLC provides a written Good Faith Estimate to all patients prior to the start of treatment, in compliance with the No Surprises Act. For questions or to request an estimate, please contact our office. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
